Explanation

In 1981, after completing SLC production, Mercedes planned to launch a new top-of-the-range coupe model, and therefore created the SEC by completely redesigning the W126 S-Class, which had been introduced in 1979; this model was to be exhibited at the 1981 Frankfurt Motor Show. Mercedes-Benz was the star of the show with the 380 SEC and 500 SEC models. In 1985, along with the entire W126 S-Class range, the facelifted SEC model was also introduced in Frankfurt.

Our car, manufactured in 1986, has undergone a very detailed restoration process; all its components, including the engine, mechanics, and bodywork, have been replaced with new parts and are in perfect condition.
