Explanation

As a major name in Formula One, Mercedes-Benz used their contract as suppliers of the series' official safety cars since 1996 to create a global platform on which to introduce future AMG models. The SL55 AMG was first shown at the German Grand Prix; the brand's flagship roadster was not seen again until eight months later at the 2002 New York Auto Show.

However, the new vehicle joined the company's 2003 model year catalogue and caused shock waves in the performance car market of the early 2000s, combining near supercar levels of acceleration and handling in a comfortable and elegant convertible. Its 5.4-litre supercharged V-8 engine, mated to AMG's five-speed automatic transmission with 'Speedshift' control unit, enabled this magnificent roadster to reach 100 km/h in just over four seconds.

Our car, which is one of the last examples of the R230 chassis SL55 AMG, produced between 2002-2008, brought to our country by Mercedes Benz as a 2006 model and facelift, was preserved in a closed garage and updated with a detailed mechanical work in 2023. All mechanical parts that were worn out over time and those that were not worn out but due for replacement were renewed, and the paint that had succumbed to time was completely renewed and reached its current state.
